Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an ISP Test Engineer to support live data center operations. You will handle rack installations, fiber/copper cabling, testing, validation, and break-fix support. The role includes an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

The position requires hands-on experience with racks, cable management, OTDR testing where needed, and strong documentation skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

Experience in live data center environments is required.
Strong rack & stack and structured cabling expertise.
Hands-on fiber and copper installation and testing proficiency.
Experience with fiber inspection, cleaning, and power meter testing.
Ability to read drawings, rack elevations, and MOPs.
Willingness to join an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Install racks, cabinets, network/server equipment, and fiber/copper cabling.
Test and certify fiber and copper links (including OTDR when required).
Verify builds against drawings, rack elevations, and MOPs.
Troubleshoot and resolve physical layer and hardware issues.
Support migrations, upgrades, decommissions, and customer handovers.
Participate in on-call support and document all work performed.
