Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an ISP Test Engineer to support live data center operations, including rack installations, fiber/copper cabling, testing, validation, and break-fix support. The role includes an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Responsibilities include installing equipment, testing links, verifying builds, troubleshooting, and participating in migrations, upgrades, decommissions, and handovers. On-call duties and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in live data center environments.
• Strong rack and stack and structured cabling experience.
• Hands-on fiber and copper installation/testing skills.
• Experience with fiber inspection, cleaning, and power meter testing.
• Ability to read drawings, rack elevations, and MOPs.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to join an on-call rotation.

Working Conditions

Hands-on onsite role involving equipment handling and work within racks/cabinets. Some after-hours maintenance and occasional travel may be required.
