Job summary

Entravision is seeking a Technical Director to join its national Spanish-language streaming news operation in Miami. You will execute live newscasts and special programming with precision, switching productions and ensuring on-air continuity under deadline pressure.

Candidates should have 3+ years in live TV/directing roles, be comfortable in a fast-paced newsroom, and understand Spanish. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities to lead technical teams during major events.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Director in live TV or streaming.
Ability to understand spoken Spanish and follow live newsroom communication.
Experience with automated production control rooms and broadcast switching systems.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom with breaking news.

Responsibilities

Execute live newscasts and programming using broadcast automation.
Switch live productions accurately while maintaining high technical standards.
Collaborate with Producers, Directors, Graphics Operators and newsroom staff.
React quickly to breaking news and adjust production elements in real time.
Monitor video, audio, graphics, and live feeds for quality during broadcasts.
Troubleshoot technical issues under tight deadlines while keeping on-air continuity.
Coordinate with engineering to resolve equipment or operational concerns.
Support coverage during major news events and elections.
Maintain organized production workflows in a multiplatform environment.
