Job summary

Qualifications

Essential Functions

• Execute live newscasts and special programming using broadcast automation and production control systems.
• Switch live productions accurately while maintaining the highest technical standards.
• Collaborate closely with Executive Producers, Line Producers, Directors, Graphics Operators, and the newsroom to ensure flawless execution.
• React quickly to breaking news, adjusting production elements and workflows in real time.
• Monitor technical quality of video, audio, graphics, and live feeds throughout broadcasts.
• Troubleshoot technical issues under tight deadlines while maintaining on-air continuity.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment or operational concerns.

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum3 years of experienceas a Technical Director in a live television news or streaming production environment.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom with frequent breaking news coverage.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule, includingnights, weekends, holidays, and extended hoursduring major news events.
• Team-oriented with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a Full Time position. Must be available to work weekend schedule as necessary.Actual hours and schedule may vary.
