Job summary
Entravision Communications is seeking a skilled Camera Operator to join our national Spanish-language streaming news team in Miami, FL. You will operate studio cameras during live newscasts, breaking news, and special productions, working closely with directors, producers, talent, and the technical team to deliver dynamic broadcasts.
Minimum 2 years of studio camera experience in a newsroom or live production; experience with robotic/pedestal cameras is a plus, and bilingual newsroom
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of studio camera experience in a newsroom or live production.
- Experience with robotic and/or pedestal studio cameras preferred.
- Understanding of live news production workflows and control room operations.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable evenings, mornings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during major news events.
- Basic knowledge of broadcast technology and digital production workflows.
- Bi-lingual newsroom communication is a plus.
- Calm under pressure with strong visual composition and teamwork.
- Dependable, flexible and adaptable.
Responsibilities
- Operate studio cameras during live newscasts, breaks and special productions.
- Follow the Technical Director's directions for camera shots.
- Frame and adjust shots for broadcast quality.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, floor directors and talent.
- Set up and reposition cameras, tripods and studio equipment.
- Assist with lighting adjustments and basic studio setup.
- Monitor rundown changes and respond to breaking news quickly.
- Report equipment issues and perform routine checks.
- Support remote productions and special events as needed.
