Job summary

Advanced Systems Group LLC. seeks an experienced Live Support Technician to monitor and support the live broadcasting facility in Los Gatos, CA.

You’ll ensure reliability, readiness, and performance of the systems during live events, collaborating with engineering and production teams in a fast-paced environment. The role is part of our Flex Workforce on a project-to-project basis, with estimated schedules of 3–6 days per month, and opportunities to scale with programming needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in broadcast operations or live production support.
• Strong working knowledge of live broadcast signal flow and technical infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with intercom systems, encoders/decoders, monitoring systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly in live environments.
• Strong documentation skills with experience creating SOPs and technical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Live Facility Support: provide hands-on technical support for live broadcasts from the Live Command Center.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot internal systems including intercoms, encoders/decoders, monitors, room controls and associated infrastructure.
• Serve as a first-line responder to technical issues during live events, escalating as necessary to engineering teams.
• Perform routine weekly inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and minimize disruptions.
• Support the setup, execution, and breakdown of live shows, including simultaneous broadcasts with unique technical requirements.
