Job summary

FOX 10, Arizona's premier news source, seeks an Operations Technician to join our team and handle production and master control duties. The role requires balancing multiple priorities, clear communication, and a readiness to train fellow crew members in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities include directing live and recorded broadcasts with Sony ELC, coding rundowns in iNews, and ensuring seamless integration of cameras, audio, and video across channels during news, sports, and other

Qualifications

Two years directing and/or technical directing on-air for live news preferred.
Experience with master control operations during live broadcasts and events.
Knowledge of studio and remote broadcasting technology and automation systems.

Responsibilities

Direct live and recorded newscasts and programs using Sony ELC production automation.
Prepare show rundowns by coding automation cues in iNews.
Collaborate with Producers to ensure proper talent placement and camera blocking.
Operate camera robotics, audio console, switcher and floor direct as needed.
Oversee master control during live programming and events.
Monitor output signals for audio, video and closed captioning quality.
Execute breaking news cut-ins and manage join-in-progress playlists.
Route feeds for syndicated programs and live events; oversee recording of programs and promotional content.
Transfer media into automation system and prep for playback.
Check broadcast logs, verify playlists and events, and implement changes.
