Job summary

NAB Leadership Foundation is seeking a part-time broadcast technician in New York, NY to operate studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows and ensure FCC compliance.

You will monitor programs, coordinate with talent and producers, troubleshoot issues in real time, and support remote broadcasts and events. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliable communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical aptitude with broadcast equipment and automation systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
  • Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and FCC compliance.
  • Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams for smooth transitions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed.
  • Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
  • Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.
