Job summary

City of Lancaster (CA) seeks a Part-Time LPAC audio technician to mix Front of House or Monitor World audio for in-house, touring, and rental artists. You will assist with outdoor event audio setups and ensure audio equipment maintenance and supply orders as needed.

This non-exempt role requires familiarity with Yamaha CL-5 and Allen & Heath Qu-24, setting up stage plots, loading gear, and working nights or weekends. 20 hours weekly, up to 940 hours per fiscal year.

Qualifications

• Any equivalent combination of two or more years' education and experience.
• Currently enrolled in a college, university, or trade school majoring in Theatre Arts, Film, Television, or a related field, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with live audio mixing and stage audio setup requirements
• Yamaha CL-5 console mixing and Dante/Rioprotocols
• Allen & Heath Qu24 consolemixing
• Setting audio stage plots, audio snake cabling, distro power feeds
• Ability to operate Yamaha mixing control andapps
• Basic counterweight rigging and flyrail operation skills
• Personnel lift safe operation skills
• Knowledge of audio maintenance procedures
• Experience designing for dance, music and theatre performances
• Familiar with projection audio systems
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Loading/unloading equipment, cases, gondolas, hampers from trucks
• General knowledge of theatrical stage lighting design and lighting console basics
• Assist training of Stage Assistants
