A leading national law firm is seeking a Litigation & Trial Associate with experience in insurance litigation to join its offices in major insurance law markets, including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, and Washington, D.C.

The successful candidate will handle complex insurer-side coverage litigation under Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies and may also gain exposure to life insurance cost of insurance disputes and class action defense matters. This role provides significant hands‑on experience in trial preparation, litigation strategy, and client‑facing responsibilities.

This position is particularly well suited to a 3–4 year associate with strong litigation experience and a focus on insurance law.

What You’ll Do

• Represent clients in complex insurance litigation matters, including CGL coverage disputes.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and briefs.
• Take and defend depositions and assist in trial preparation.
• Handle class action defense and life insurance litigation matters as applicable.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on strategic case planning and client advice.
• Provide practical and commercial guidance on insurance law and risk management issues.

About You

• J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 3–4 years of litigation experience, ideally with a focus on insurance law at a law firm or equivalent environment.
• Experience in insurer-side CGL coverage litigation is required; exposure to life insurance cost of insurance disputes and class action defense is a plus.
• Strong oral advocacy, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex litigation matters.
• Active bar admission in the state where the candidate intends to practice.
