Qualifications

Education in a related field (Criminal Justice, Law): JD/LLB or 2 years of graduate study.

Must be a U.S. citizen; Selective Service registration as applicable.

Responsibilities

Using automated legal research tools and public databases to research case law and statutes.
Preparing initial drafts of legal documents: subpoenas, court orders, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
Reviewing and organizing factual material for investigations and pleadings.
Organizing materials for briefs and memoranda supporting motions or dismissals.
Preparing exhibits for trials and hearings; assisting in presenting at hearings.
Assisting with discovery per laws and policy; using ALS software to organize information.
Supporting AUSAs in hearings and trials; setting up courtroom equipment.
Performing legal assistance duties tied to grand jury operations.
