Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a BD & Marketing Specialist to support the business development and marketing efforts of the assigned practice group. This role partners with BD managers, lawyers, and cross-functional colleagues to execute pitches, proposals, and client materials.

You will track pipeline, coordinate events, manage CRM records, and help deliver marketing initiatives while fostering a collaborative, client-focused culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of marketing and/or business development experience in a professional services environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools and CRM systems for client and activity tracking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with executing marketing and BD initiatives for practice-group goals.
• Request and summarize competitive intelligence to support client-driven initiatives.
• Prepare client-facing materials, presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Collaborate with BD team and lawyers on pitches, proposals, and credentials.
• Update CRM records, track BD activity, and pull reports or dashboards.
• Coordinate directories, awards submissions, events, webinars, and sponsorships.
• Support onboarding activities from a BD/marketing perspective and budget tracking.
