Job summary

Collin Central Appraisal District in McKinney, TX is seeking a Litigation Specialist to support the district's litigation and property tax processes. The role requires strong research, documentation, and communication skills.

You will coordinate with attorneys, prepare litigation materials, and assist with scheduling settlements, mediations, and trials while adhering to district policies.

Qualifications

• RPA designation required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of mass appraisal experience.
• Appraisal district experience related to real estate valuation or ad valorem tax appraisal.
• Reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver’s license, and proof of auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical and general office duties.
• Schedule and attend settlement conferences, mediations, depositions, and trials, as applicable.
• Prepare, research, maintain, and process lawsuits within the litigation database and CAMA software.
• Communicate daily with the District’s attorney staff regarding settlement offers, appraisal reports, trial exhibits, and other litigation-related matters.
• Support appraisal district operations related to litigation and property tax administration.
