For a lot of general liability partners in Florida, it doesn't. The caseload is the same, the say over strategy is the same, and the main difference is a longer list of things you're responsible for. If you made partner and quietly wondered what exactly had changed, this is worth five minutes.

I'm Ryan Jaiswal at Distinct Recruitment. I'm hiring a general liability defense partner for a firm in Boca Raton that wants a trial lawyer to lead files, lead people and help shape the practice.

What you'd be doing

About a book of business

A portable book is preferred, not required. If you have one, the compensation conversation reflects it. If your strength is trying cases and running a team, and your clients have historically belonged to the firm, that is a perfectly good starting point too. I'd rather speak with a strong trial lawyer without a book than rule them out on a technicality.
