Most general liability attorneys don't put it that way, but that's what a lot of them describe when I ask about their week. Twenty minutes on strategy, three hours updating adjusters on files they haven't had time to move. The work is fine. The ratio is the problem.

I'm Ryan Jaiswal at Distinct Recruitment, and I'm hiring a general liability defense attorney in Jacksonville. The goal here is a caseload you can actually work, so you spend your time moving cases forward rather than describing them.

The caseload

• Premises liability, slip and fall, negligent security and general negligence claims
• Clients ranging from retailers and property managers to hospitality and commercial owners
• Full file ownership: evaluation, discovery, motions, mediation and trial
• Depositions of plaintiffs, store managers, security experts and treating physicians
• Hearings argued by you, and trials as you're ready for them
• Direct communication with carriers and clients, under your own name

The salary range is broad on purpose. Counsel level lawyers and senior attorneys are paid at the top of it, take the complex and high exposure files, try more cases first chair and help develop the team. If you're further along and feel underused, this could be a good fit.
