Job summary

FSA Federal is seeking a Paralegal/Legal Assistant II to support the USAO mission. The role includes reviewing case materials, drafting and editing documents, organizing exhibits, and preparing witness summaries. Ideal candidates have paralegal certification or a HS diploma with related experience and strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities span trial preparation, legal research, and collaboration with attorneys. U.S. citizenship and a background check are required.

Qualifications

Paralegal Certificate or HS Diploma with 2+ years in a law office/government setting

Responsibilities

Assist attorney in reviewing case material and prepare digests with legal references
Draft, edit, and review non-legal information and prepare correspondence and research reports
Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and creating statistical materials
Interview witnesses and prepare summary interview reports
Review legal documents for citations and references
Attend pre-trial meetings and request missing information as needed
Prepare summaries of testimony and depositions
Investigate facts and laws and conduct public-record searches
Perform other duties as assigned
