Job summary

Ross, Wolcott, Teinert & Prout LLP in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to assist attorneys through all stages of commercial and employment litigation. You will draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial materials, and manage case files and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in litigation support, strong procedural knowledge, outstanding research and communication skills, and a proactive, client-service oriented approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, especially commercial or employment litigation.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal procedures and court rules.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial prep.
• Proficient in legal research and documentation review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, highly organized, detail oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys through all stages of commercial and employment litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and gather information to support case strategy and preparation
• Manage and organize case files, documents, exhibits, and litigation deadlines
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Prepare and file court documents, including state and federal e-filing
• Assist with discovery and document production, including reviewing, organizing, and analyzing documents
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders
• Provide administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management and contact lists
