Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. in Orange County seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex civil litigation in state, federal and administrative venues.

This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases in a law firm environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation defense experience, familiarity with e‑discovery platforms, and proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ litigation defense experience in a law firm.
• Compliance with California Business & Professions Code 6450 for paralegal practice.
• Experience in a law firm environment handling civil defense matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of civil litigation cases with strict deadlines.
• Draft pleadings for federal, state, and administrative matters.
• Prepare discovery documents for federal, state, and administrative proceedings.
• Draft discovery requests to plaintiff and coordinate responses.
• Coordinate with attorneys and clients for discovery and depositions.
• Organize and prepare documents for production with Bates numbering and redactions.
• Collaborate with e‑discovery team on large productions and use Relativity.
• Prepare deposition documents and subpoenas and monitor responses.
• Support trial/arbitration prep with exhibits and witness lists.
• Conduct legal research using Lexis and PACER; perform background checks.
