Job summary

Desiah Law Firm, LLC is seeking a proactive Litigation Paralegal to support all phases of litigation, from case preparation to trial. You will organize files, conduct research, draft documents, and coordinate with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.

The role emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and independence, with a competitive salary and benefits. Experience in drafting pleadings and managing discovery is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal with substantial litigation responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience drafting petitions, pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
• Excellent legal writing, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Draft and file legal documents, including petitions, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Organize and maintain case files using the firm's case management system, and ensuring all documents are up to date and accessible.
• Draft subpoenas, notices of deposition, notices of hearing, and other litigation documents.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed.
• Prepare trial exhibits and assist in trial preparation.
• Manage litigation calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
