Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join the Litigation Department in the Philadelphia office. The role supports attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, drafting, and trial preparation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate with 5+ years of litigation experience, plus strong organization and research skills. Proficiency in Excel/Word and familiarity with AI tools like Harvey are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Working knowledge of filing procedures and court rules.
• Familiarity with matter management systems, AI tools (e.g., Harvey), and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Trial experience and mass tort/MDL experience preferred.

• Assist with trial preparation, including witness binders, exhibits, and logistics.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and external parties.
• Other duties as assigned.
