Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Litigation Department in the Indianapolis office. This role provides support to attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trial, and helps prepare briefs and exhibits.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate and at least five years of experience, with working knowledge of PACER/ECF and Indiana filing rules, eDiscovery, document management, and trial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Working knowledge of filing procedures and court rules, including PACER/ECF and Indiana state court filing procedures.
• Experience with trial preparation and/or electronic discovery (eDiscovery).
• Strong research, drafting, and document management skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and external parties.
• Other duties as assigned.

5. Strong research, drafting, and document management skills.

6. Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities.

7. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.

8. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

9. Experience with mass tort/MDL matters, and proficiency with Excel is preferred.
