Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Philadelphia is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, and trial.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate and 5+ years of experience, with strong research, drafting, and document management skills. Proficiency in Excel/Word and matter management systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Familiarity with filing procedures and court rules.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with matter management systems.
• Strong research, drafting, and document management skills.
• Mass tort/MDL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys across all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, hearings, and trial.
• Prepare, organize, and file documents with courts via PACER/ECF and PA e-filing.
• Conduct legal research and assist with drafting pleadings, correspondence, and discovery responses.
• Finalize briefs, check citations, and prepare exhibits.
• Manage case files, calendars, and deadlines.
• Coordinate large-scale document productions and track materials.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness binders and exhibits.
• Communicate with attorneys, clients, and external parties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
