Job summary

Morgan & Morgan in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys before, during and after trials. You will prepare legal documents, e-file, and coordinate discovery and depositions in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in litigation, an associate degree or paralegal program, strong writing and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while working with clients, court staff, and outside counsel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Paralegal program completion preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; calendaring skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, and complaints.
• E-file court documents in state and federal court.
• Communicate with clients, court, and counsel.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents and responses.
• Draft and serve summons.
• Coordinate and summarize depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Organize exhibits and evidence.
• Liaise between trial teams and third parties.
• Witness preparation and case settlements support.
• On-site role with immersive office experience.
