Job summary

Mandelbaum Barrett PC in New York City seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys across personal injury, civil, and commercial cases in NY, NJ, and CT. You will draft and review documents, manage discovery, coordinate filings, and assist with case strategy.

The role requires 5+ years of paralegal experience, a legal studies degree or paralegal certification, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and filing systems. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant in complex cases.
• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies or paralegal certification.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with document management and billing systems.
• Knowledge of state and federal court e-filing systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and edit legal documents under attorney supervision.
• Organize case files, discovery materials, and evidence.
• Summarize medical records, bills, and other documents.
• Coordinate with clients, providers, insurers, witnesses, and experts.
• File documents electronically in courts via E-Courts and PACER.
• Assist with trial prep, client communications, and strategy.
• Prepare settlement packages and exhibits for hearings.
• Track billable hours and assist with invoicing.
• Support the litigation team with other case-related tasks.
• Overtime to meet deadlines or court requirements.
