Orion Placement in Bastrop, Texas, seeks an experienced litigation paralegal for an in-person, full-time role supporting attorneys across disputes, contracts, probate, and related matters.

This position requires 3+ years in litigation, strong case-management skills, and meticulous document handling. You will manage deadlines, prepare motions and discovery, coordinate hearings, and maintain client communications with professionalism and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
• Strong understanding of litigation case management, legal procedures, and deadlines.
• Experience supporting attorneys with discovery, motions, legal documents, and case preparation.
• Strong proofreading, grammar, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat or Foxit PDF, Gmail or Outlook, and Google Drive.
• Excellent written, verbal, and professional communication skills.
• Strong phone etiquette and client service skills.
• Familiarity with contract law and general litigation matters.
• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of local legal administrative procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout the full lifecycle of active litigation matters.
• Prepare and organize motions, discovery requests and responses, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Conduct basic legal research and gather information needed to support case strategy and preparation.
• Maintain organized case files, legal documents, calendars, deadlines, and critical litigation dates.
• Coordinate hearings, depositions, meetings, and other case-related activities.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties.
• Assist with case management and day-to-day litigation workflow to keep matters moving efficiently.
• Perform accurate data entry, filing, document management, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.
• Proofread legal documents carefully and help ensure filings and correspondence are accurate and polished.
• Maintain approximately five billable hours per day.
