Job summary

Orionplacement in Bastrop, Texas, seeks an experienced paralegal for a full-time, in-person role supporting a litigation practice. You will handle motions, discovery, and document management while coordinating deadlines and client communications.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of direct litigation paralegal experience, excellent proofreading, and familiarity with Microsoft Word, PDF tools, and Google Drive. A bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct litigation paralegal experience required.
• Strong understanding of litigation case management, deadlines, and procedures.
• Experience supporting attorneys with discovery, motions, and case preparation.
• Excellent proofreading, grammar, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout the full lifecycle of active litigation matters.
• Prepare and organize motions, discovery requests and responses, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Conduct basic legal research and gather information needed to support case strategy and preparation.
• Maintain organized case files, calendars, deadlines, and critical litigation dates.
• Coordinate hearings, depositions, meetings, and other case-related activities.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties.
• Assist with day-to-day litigation workflow to keep matters moving efficiently.
• Perform accurate data entry, filing, and document management as needed.
• Proofread legal documents to ensure filings are accurate and polished.
• Maintain approximately five billable hours per day.
