Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with insurance defense experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and state/federal e-filing.
• Experience summarizing medical records and handling discovery.
• Comfort working in a billable-hour environment.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation/document management software.
• Paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or Texas Board of Legal Specialization preferred.

Aufgaben

• Support attorneys on insurance defense matters from case opening through trial.
• Draft and prepare discovery requests and responses, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Organize, review, and summarize medical records, billing records, and other case documents.
• Prepare deposition and trial materials, including exhibits, witness binders, and outlines.
• Issue and track subpoenas and records requests.
• Manage case calendars, deadlines, and docketing.
• E-file documents in Texas state and federal courts.
• Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, court reporters, and vendors.
• Draft case reports and status updates for carrier clients.
• Track and record billable time to meet the annual 1,600-hour requirement.
