Job summary

Ray Thomas is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Seattle litigation team. This role supports attorneys handling complex civil defense matters, including professional liability claims.

The position offers a 35-hour work week, hybrid flexibility, excellent benefits, and strong opportunities for mentorship and career development. Responsibilities include maintaining an active litigation caseload, preparing pleadings and discovery, coordinating depositions, and tracking court filings

Qualifications

• Three to five or more years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
• Civil litigation experience required.
• Experience supporting discovery, depositions, pleadings, document production, and trial preparation.
• Familiarity with court websites and e-filing procedures.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage sensitive information and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates whose litigation experience is limited exclusively to family law will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize an active litigation caseload
• Assist with document review, production, and privilege logs
• Prepare pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses, trial lists, and other litigation documents
• Coordinate depositions and prepare exhibits
• Monitor court dockets and electronic filing notifications
• Assist attorneys throughout the pretrial, trial, and post-trial phases
• Complete state and federal e-filings
