Kiernan Trebach LLP seeks a Litigation Paralegal for our Washington, DC office. You will support multiple lawyers, focusing on discovery, medical record gathering, and trial preparation in civil litigation matters.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of relevant experience, strong research and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Lexis Nexis. Office is in-person in Washington, DC with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Strong research and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Lexis Nexis.
• Experience obtaining medical records via subpoenas/authorizations.
• Experience following subpoenas in DC, MD, and VA.
• Excellent organization and deadline management.
• Proactive attitude and attorney support.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling IME's.
• Docket searches.
• Retaining experts and sending documents for review.
• Gathering medical records and other discovery.
• Tracking and organizing discovery materials for counsel, experts, and witnesses.
• Assisting attorneys with trial preparation.
• Maintaining files in the document management system.
• General office administration tasks.
