Ideal candidates will have strong research and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with Lexis Nexis and document management systems.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant paralegal experience in civil litigation.
• 2-3 years of experience in workers' compensation preferred.
• Strong research, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; attention to detail.
• Experience obtaining medical records via authorizations/subpoenas.
• Experience following legal process for subpoenas in DC, MD, and VA.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, initiative-taking work style.

Responsibilities

• Schedule IMEs for cases and coordinate with medical professionals.
• Perform docket searches and manage calendar deadlines.
• Retain experts and forward documents for expert review.
• Gather medical records and other discovery via subpoenas, authorizations, services.
• Track, organize, and prepare discovery materials for counsel, experts, witnesses.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case strategy.
• Maintain and organize files in the document management system.
• Perform other general office administration tasks.
