Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC, based in Washington, DC, seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support the Litigation team in civil rights cases. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Senior/Assistant Director of Litigation and carries a two-year term with a salary of $70,000–$80,000.

The Paralegal will conduct legal research, draft and file documents, manage case files, coordinate with partners, and assist with community education tools and Know Your Rights materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least four years of paralegal or litigation support experience.
• Experience with civil litigation and the federal court system.
• Experience working with diverse groups and communities.
• Ability to manage litigation processes with limited resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with legal and factual research for active or potential cases.
• Provide logistical support: filings, invoices, travel, and calendar management.
• Maintain and organize case files and databases.
• Cite-check, bluebook, and format litigation documents accurately.
• Prepare advocacy materials including comments, letters and white papers.
• Coordinate filings, depositions, service of process and other litigation support.
• Meet deadlines and communicate with clients, partners, and co-counsel.
• Support fundraising activities and grant development related to litigation.
