Job summary

Thrivas Staffing Agency represents an established law firm seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal in West Palm Beach, FL. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and includes full benefits.

You will work closely with a Litigation Attorney and Legal Assistant, handling client intake, pre-suit tasks, discovery, preparation of legal documents, and trial support, including scheduling hearings and depositions. Prior civil litigation exposure is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Civil Litigation experience.
• Recent litigation experience.
• Paralegal certificate or degree is not required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a Litigation Attorney and Legal Assistant.
• Handle client intake, pre-suit, litigation, trial and settlement tasks.
• Prepare legal documents and typing of correspondence.
• Assist in trial preparation, discovery, and scheduling hearings.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations or other meetings.

Job description

Established law firm specialized in general civil litigation matters is currently hiring an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal. The position is full time Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This is a permanent long term position with the firm that will provide full benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, and paid holidays.

The ideal paralegal will have worked for a medium to large sized law firm and be accustomed to handling complex document intensive cases. Applicants that are Registered Paralegals or individuals with a degree in Legal Studies are preferred. A Paralegal Certificate or degree is not required to qualify for this position.

The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for working closely with a Litigation Attorney and a Legal Assistant. You will be responsible for some client intake, pre-suit, litigation, trial, settlement, etc. This is a traditional paralegal role assisting in all aspects of a case. You must have experience preparing legal documents, typing correspondence, preparing for trial, discovery, etc. Provide support for scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, or other meetings.
