Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or degree with law-related coursework.
• 5-10 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong cite checking and proofreading skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines.
• Capable of working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and codes.
• Prepare briefs, pleadings, and appeals for review by attorneys.
• Investigate facts and law to determine causes of action and case preparation.
• Assist with collection, review, summarization, and organization of discovery materials.
• Prepare trial binders and other case preparation materials.
• File pleadings with court clerks, in person and electronically.
• Prepare affidavits of documents and maintain files.
• Deliver subpoenas to witnesses and parties.
• Accurately record time worked and enter into the time/billing system.
