Job summary

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Experience cite-checking and verifying legal authorities in Bluebook format.
• Proficient with Westlaw, Lexis, and other legal databases.
• Proficient with CaseMap and TextMap.
• Relativity experience is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Flexible with overtime including evenings and weekends.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with case management, organizing case files, and tracking deadlines.
• Draft and format litigation documents, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Cite-check, proofreading, and verifying legal authorities per Bluebook rules.
• Coordinate service of documents, filings, and court submissions in state and federal courts.
• Support attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Perform factual research, prepare chronologies, and summarize depositions/transcripts.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to firm data security policies.
• Meet the firm’s billable hours expectations and manage daily time entry.
