Job summary

LeoForce in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Mid Level Litigation Paralegal to support business litigation and commercial collections. You will conduct legal research, draft pleadings, manage case files, and coordinate timelines.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, ABA-approved Paralegal certificate, proficiency in Westlaw or LexisNexis, and strong Microsoft Office skills. Excellent communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in business litigation and commercial collections.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent.
• Proven proficiency in legal research and legal writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and synthesize complex information to support case preparation.
• Draft and edit court pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda under attorney guidance.
• Assist in management of business litigation cases, including evidence collection and witness interviews.
• Handle commercial collections, including drafting demand letters, negotiating payment plans, and initiating legal action when necessary.
• Coordinate and manage timelines and deadlines to ensure timely filing of legal documents.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
• Maintain organized case files and manage the electronic document database.
• Attend court proceedings and assist attorneys in trial preparation and execution.
