What You’ll Be Doing
- Support attorneys across complex Florida construction litigation matters from case inception through trial
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, correspondence, affidavits, discovery materials, exhibit lists, privilege logs, and other litigation documents
- Manage large and complex document productions, including document retrieval, review, organization, and database uploads
- Coordinate discovery and work closely with attorneys, outside counsel, vendors, experts, and other litigation professionals
- Conduct legal and factual research and prepare written summaries for attorneys
- Assist extensively with trial preparation and attend trials when needed
- Manage electronic and physical case files, transcripts, exhibits, and attorney work product
- Coordinate court filings and communicate with court administrators and regulatory bodies
- Cite-check and proofread pleadings and other legal documents
- Track and record billable time accurately
- Help attorneys stay ahead of critical deadlines, case priorities, and upcoming deliverables
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of Florida law firm experience
- Strong knowledge of Florida courts, filing procedures, and litigation rules
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
- Strong discovery and document-production experience
- Experience with Relativity
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and comfort learning sophisticated law firm technology
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced litigation environment
- Florida Registered Paralegal designation is preferred but not required
Schedule
This position is based in the firm’s Tampa office and requires five days per week onsite.
Typical hours are approximately 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with overtime required periodically based on case and trial demands.
