Job summary

Plona Partners, on behalf of a prominent Florida law firm, seeks an experienced Construction Litigation Paralegal in Tampa to support complex matters from inception through trial.

You will draft pleadings, manage document productions, coordinate discovery, and assist with trial preparation while handling multiple attorneys and deadlines. A Florida Registered Paralegal is preferred; 5+ years of Florida litigation experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Florida law firm experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida courts, filing procedures, and litigation rules.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
• Strong discovery and document-production experience.
• Experience with Relativity.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and comfort learning sophisticated law firm technology.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow‑through.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced litigation environment.
• Florida Registered Paralegal designation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys across complex Florida construction litigation matters from case inception through trial
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, correspondence, affidavits, discovery materials, exhibit lists, privilege logs, and other litigation documents
• Manage large and complex document productions, including document retrieval, review, organization, and database uploads
• Coordinate discovery and work closely with attorneys, outside counsel, vendors, experts, and other litigation professionals
• Conduct legal and factual research and prepare written summaries for attorneys
• Assist extensively with trial preparation and attend trials when needed
• Manage electronic and physical case files, transcripts, exhibits, and attorney work product
• Coordinate court filings and communicate with court administrators and regulatory bodies
• Cite-check and proofread pleadings and other legal documents
• Track and record billable time accurately
• Help attorneys stay ahead of critical deadlines, case priorities, and upcoming deliverables

Plona Partners has been retained by a prominent full-service law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal for its growing Construction Litigation practice in Tampa. This is an excellent opportunity for a Florida litigation paralegal who has developed meaningful construction litigation experience and wants to work alongside sophisticated attorneys handling complex matters from discovery through trial.

Schedule

This position is based in the firm’s Tampa office and requires five days per week onsite.

Typical hours are approximately 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with overtime required periodically based on case and trial demands.
