Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt seeks a full-time paralegal in Seattle to support a litigation practice with high-quality, detail-driven paralegal work. The role requires strong organization and adaptability to shifting priorities.

The firm offers a hybrid work policy, allowing work from home Monday and Friday, with in-office days Tuesday–Thursday. The first 30 days are in-person for onboarding and system training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience.
• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state, local, and federal rules and procedures.
• Experience with discovery management tools and e-discovery platforms.
• Proven trial preparation and courtroom support experience.
• Excellent client communication and professional demeanor.
• Proficiency with legal tech and document management systems (e.g., iManage, Relativity, CaseMap, OnCue).

Responsibilities

• Manage complex litigation cases from inception through trial and appeal.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other substantive legal documents.
• Support creditors’ rights activities including Bankruptcy filings/monitoring, and judgment collection.
• Oversee discovery, including document review, vendor coordination, and strategy recommendations.
• Lead trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and courtroom support.
• Assist with settlement and mediation, including preparation of supporting materials.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and witnesses.

Position Overview:

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt is seeking a full-time Paralegal in our Seattle office. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality paralegal support to attorneys in the litigation practice area. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities.

Schwabe has a hybrid work policy allowing employees to work from home Monday and Friday while working in the office Tuesday through Thursday. However, the first 30 days will be in-person, Monday through Friday to ensure a smooth onboarding with systems and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage complex litigation cases from inception through trial and appeal
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other substantive legal documents
• Support creditors’ rights activities including Bankruptcy filings/monitoring, as well as judgment collection efforts (i.e. garnishments or other execution efforts) and judicial and non-judicial foreclosure support.
• Oversee discovery, including document review, vendor coordination, and strategy recommendations
• Lead trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and courtroom support
• Assist with settlement and mediation, including preparation of supporting materials
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and witnesses

Requirements:

• 3+ year(s) of related experience.
• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a similar subject is strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
• Strong understanding of state, local, and federal courts rules and procedure
• Experience with discovery management tools and e-discovery platforms
• Demonstrated success in trial preparation and courtroom support
• Exceptional client communication skills with a professional demeanor
• Proficiency with legal technology and document management systems (e.g., iManage, Relativity, CaseMap, OnCue)
