Job summary

Preg O'Donnell & Gillett PLLC seeks a Litigation Paralegal for a full-time hybrid role based in the Portland, OR area. You will assist attorneys with civil litigation tasks, draft and organize documents, manage case files, and prepare materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.

Your daily responsibilities include legal research, document review and summarization, coordinating with clients and third parties, and maintaining calendars and deadlines. Salary $65-80k DOE.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting complex litigation matters.
  • Ability to analyze case law, statutes, and rules relevant to litigation.
  • Experience drafting, formatting, and filing pleadings and motions in state and/or federal courts.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.

Role Description

This full-time Litigation Paralegal role is a hybrid position based in the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area, with some flexibility for work from home. The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation, including drafting and organizing legal documents, managing case files, and preparing materials for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal research, reviewing and summarizing documents and discovery, coordinating with clients and third parties for information and records, and maintaining accurate case calendars and deadlines. The role also involves preparing and filing pleadings and motions, supporting e-discovery efforts, and collaborating with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management and high-quality client service.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in legal document preparation and document review to support complex litigation matters.
  • Candidates should possess solid legal research skills, including the ability to analyze case law, statutes, and rules relevant to litigation.
  • Candidates should possess experience drafting, formatting, and filing pleadings and motions in state and/or federal courts.
  • Candidates should possess strong organizational, time management, and case management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Relevant qualifications include prior litigation paralegal experience (defense or plaintiff), familiarity with e-filing systems, and proficiency with legal practice software (e.g., case management, document management, and MS Office).
