Howard-Sloan Search is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a plaintiff-side personal injury practice in NYC. The role supports attorneys across medical malpractice, construction accidents, and other serious matters. Hybrid schedule with in-office Mondays–Thursdays and remote Fridays.

The firm emphasizes stability and long-tenure staff. Ideal candidates have prior personal injury litigation paralegal experience; medical malpractice experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior personal injury litigation paralegal experience required.

• Comfortable communicating directly with clients, attorneys, medical providers, and other parties.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the legal team.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with plaintiff-side personal injury and medical malpractice matters.
• Manage cases throughout the litigation process.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records.
• Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and court dates.
• Assist with discovery and document production.
• Coordinate with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Assist attorneys with deposition and trial preparation.
• Prepare exhibits, trial materials, and case-related documentation.
• Monitor cases to ensure deadlines and filing requirements are met.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case-related information and documentation.
• Provide additional litigation support to attorneys as needed.

Schedule: Hybrid - Monday through Thursday in office, Friday remote

A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in New York City is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. The firm handles sophisticated personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, construction accidents, serious personal injury, and wrongful death cases.

The ideal candidate will have medical malpractice litigation experience, although candidates with strong plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience will also be considered. The firm is known for its stability and collaborative environment, with many employees building careers there spanning 20+ years.
