Responsibilities

• Draft complaints and file/serve them promptly.
• Maintain a tight calendar with deadlines and reminders.
• Prepare discovery and coordinate responses with Spanish-speaking clients.
• Track settlement proposals, schedule depositions and mediations.
• Assemble trial notebooks and exhibits; assist attorneys in trial prep.
• Assist with closing statements and lien reductions when cases settle.
• Lead weekly calendar reviews to keep the team aligned.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

You'll own the procedural side of our cases from the day they go into litigation until the day they close:

• Draft complaints and get them e-filed and served quickly.

• Keep a tight calendar: every deadline in our case management system, every reminder set.

• Prepare discovery and work with clients, in English and Spanish, on their responses.

• Track Proposals for Settlement and schedule depositions and mediations.

• Build trial notebooks, witness binders, and exhibit binders, and help our attorneys get ready for trial.

• Prepare closing statements and kick off lien reductions when a case settles.

• Lead our weekly calendar review so the whole team knows what's coming.

Qualifications

What you bring

• 3+ years as a paralegal in plaintiff's personal injury litigation.

• Fully bilingual English/Spanish, spoken and written.

• Solid command of Florida civil procedure and the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal.

• Real organizational skills. You don't miss deadlines, and you catch errors before the attorney does.

• A warm, professional way with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.

• Bonus points: NEOS experience, Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP), Miami-Dade practice, or trial prep experience.
