Responsibilities

Job description

Join a team of legal professionals as a Paralegal and play a key role in supporting attorneys on complex legal matters. You'll manage substantive legal work, assist with case strategy and litigation support, and work closely with clients and attorneys to drive successful outcomes. Ideally looking for a proactive, organized professional who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Litigation & Case Management
  • Manage and oversee litigation and transactional projects from inception through resolution.
  • Review case files proactively, identify critical deadlines, discovery obligations, and strategic case needs.
  • Develop case timelines, factual chronologies, and comprehensive case summaries to support litigation strategy.
  • Prepare deposition summaries, witness files, and trial preparation materials.
  • Assist attorneys with trial, arbitration, mediation, and hearing preparation.
  • Organize exhibits and coordinate the preparation of trial and hearing binders.
Legal Research & Analysis
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research utilizing legal databases, public records, and other investigative resources.
  • Analyze statutes, regulations, court rules, and case law to support legal strategy and case development.
  • Draft legal research memoranda, summaries, and analytical reports for attorney review.
  • Perform cite-checking and ensure accuracy and compliance in legal filings and documents.
Discovery & Litigation Technology
  • Review, organize, summarize, and analyze discovery requests, responses, and document productions.
  • Manage electronically stored information (ESI) and support e‑discovery initiatives.
  • Utilize advanced litigation technology, including document management systems, legal research platforms, trial presentation software, and e‑discovery tools.
  • Prepare privilege logs, document indexes, and document review summaries.
Drafting & Filing
  • Draft pleadings, motions, filings, correspondence, and other legal documents for attorney review.
  • Prepare and file enforcement‑related documents, including abstracts, liens, and judgment renewals.
  • Ensure filings comply with applicable court and agency requirements and deadlines.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
  • Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, plan professionals, and other stakeholders to gather information, develop case analysis, and support matter progression.
  • Conduct interviews and assist with the preparation of declarations and supporting documentation.
  • Obtain and organize records, evidence, and documentation necessary for client matters.
  • Review client correspondence, contracts, compliance documentation, and related materials to ensure timely follow‑up and action.
Specialized Matters
  • Take ownership of collections referrals, withdrawal liability matters, and related Trust Fund client matters from intake through resolution.
  • Prepare demands, notices, responses to information requests, and status reports while collaborating closely with attorneys and plan professionals.
  • Monitor matter progress and maintain clear communication with clients regarding status and next steps.
  • Develop reporting, tracking tools, summaries, and presentations to support client meetings and strategic initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

We are seeking a Paralegal with 5+ years of experience supporting attorneys in litigation, transactional, and/or Trust Fund matters. The ideal candidate has strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with experience managing discovery, drafting legal documents, coordinating case files, and assisting with trial preparation. Proficiency with legal research platforms, case management systems, e‑discovery tools, and Microsoft Office is essential. Successful candidates are highly organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while working effectively with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders. Experience with collections, judgment enforcement, withdrawal liability matters, or Trust Fund administration is a plus
