Job Title: Employment & Litigation Paralegal

Job type: 6 months contract to extend

Job Location: Remote (seeking PST time zone candidates only*)

Summary:

  • We are looking for a temporary Employment & Litigation Paralegal to support global employment and litigation matters handled by our Employment & Litigation Legal Team.
  • You will report to the Senior Director & Associate General Counsel, Global Employment and Litigation and will have a wide range of responsibilities including managing and streamlining global employment documentation, supporting the development and expansion of our employment-related policies and programs, and coordinating litigation support efforts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of paralegal experience; law firm and in-house legal department experience required
  • Experience working in a high growth tech company preferred
  • Extensive litigation and legal research experience
  • Employment law or employment law litigation experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Google Workspace, Word, and Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets), and familiarity or interest in learning and mastering various SaaS applications used by legal teams and tech companies
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Customer-service oriented and have great attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines
  • Be proactive and have a willingness to take action and achieve results
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information

Responsibilities:

  • Support all phases litigation and disputes work, including drafting and distributing litigation holds, data gathering, document management, scheduling witness interviews, and coordinating Subpoena responses
  • Manage document collection, review, and production, to include partnering with and overseeing e-discovery vendors when needed
  • Create and maintain online resources for team and internal clients, including global legal research, playbooks and templates.
  • Partner with attorneys on the Employment & Litigation Team to respond to inquiries from the People Team and other internal clients
  • Support Employment team initiatives and projects
  • Manage internal team reporting on matter metrics and quarterly reporting
  • Help implement and maintain online systems used by the Employment & Litigation Team, including ticketing systems and project / matter management tools
  • Participate in process improvements and establishment of best demonstrated practices
  • Provide support to other functions within the Legal Team on an as-needed basis
  • Interfacing with outside counsel and law firm paralegals to ensure alignment on matters
  • Maintain professional collaborative relationships throughout the Company and with external partners/third parties.
