Job summary

Bank of America seeks a detail-oriented professional to support the Legal Order operations team. You will review and log complex legal documents, process subpoenas, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws, including the Right to Financial Privacy Act.

The role requires navigating multiple systems to retrieve responsive documents and communicating with law enforcement and attorneys. This is an in-office, 1st shift role in the United States with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in portfolio management, legal, mortgage and/or finance.
• Demonstrated ability to research, identify, and retrieve responsive documents across banking products and platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to deliver accurate work within deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills using available resources.
• Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Processes third party subpoenas served on the bank for both civil and criminal matters
• Review complex legal documents and log key information into case management system for bank records responsive to the subpoena
• Review of documents includes applying state and federal laws to ensure proper service, customer notification, and compliance with privacy acts
• Navigate dozens of systems to research and acquire responsive documents
• Interact with Law Enforcement, agencies, and attorneys to negotiate scope and deadlines
• Maintain a large caseload with multiple moving parts through strong organizational skills
• Accurately interpret legal documents and manage caseload effectively
• Submit timely accurate responses to legal matters and communicate with external third parties
