Job summary

Tennessee Middle Federal Public Defender seeks a Term Assistant Computer Systems Administrator to support and develop client-server IT systems, AI workflows, and secure access for local staff and remote defense teams in Nashville. You will administer Windows environments, assist with e‑discovery tools, and help deliver courtroom technology across high-stakes cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/cybersecurity or related field plus relevant certifications.
• 2+ years IT support experience in legal or court environment preferred.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365 administration.
• Experience with litigation technologies, e-discovery platforms, and trial presentation tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools, workflows, and secure remote-access configurations.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and remote access for staff and attorneys.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to office staff.
• Develop scripts and automation tools; support AI-based platforms and workflows.
• Support litigation technologies and courtroom presentation systems.
• Collaborate with CSA and teams to ensure compliant IT operations.
• Coordinate with vendors and assist in managing secure local databases and media files.
