The accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, AP/AR processing, reconciliations, bank activity, intercompany transactions, and preparation of financial reports and statements. The role supports budgeting and forecasting, tracks case-related expenses, and assists with cost analysis to help

Qualifications

• Strong core accounting skills including general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
• QuickBooks Online and ProLaw experience preferred but not required.
• Comfort working with large data sets and detailed financial records.
• Experience in cost tracking and financial analysis within a professional services or law firm environment.
• Knowledge of compliance, audits and tax-related processes and ability to follow firm policies.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management with the ability to prioritize multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day financial operations including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable processing.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and manage intercompany transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and statements and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Track case-related expenses and assist with cost analysis to manage litigation-related financial risk.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and firm policies; coordinate with attorneys and administrative staff on financial matters.
• Assist with audits and tax preparation and prepare 1099s.
• Maintain the Company's case database (ProLaw) and contribute to process efficiencies.
