Job summary

Stoel Rives LLP in Sacramento is seeking an experienced Litigation and Environmental, Land Use, and Natural Resources Practice Assistant to provide legal and administrative support to attorneys in the specified practice groups. The role reports to the California Office Administrator.

Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, document management, timekeeping and billing, client service, and coordination of travel and meetings.

Qualifications

• At least three years of legal administrative support experience, preferably in energy/environmental or land use law.
• High school diploma or GED; a paralegal certificate or related degree preferred.
• Familiarity with local/state/federal court procedures and electronic filing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings and legal documents; file in federal/state courts and agencies.
• Prepare land use applications and track filings.
• Enter and close time entries; manage client invoices and expenses.
• Coordinate client travel and meetings; support attorneys and teams.
• Maintain electronic and physical files and document management.
