Job summary

Eastman is seeking a Litigation & Compliance Counsel to join the legal team at its Kingsport area headquarters. You will handle pre-litigation and civil matters, manage outside counsel, and lead internal investigations with regulators and law enforcement when required.

The role emphasizes developing and delivering compliance training and ensuring policy updates meet regulatory expectations. Strong communication and strategic thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience handling complex civil litigation and internal investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation strategy, counsel, and risk mitigation to business clients and senior leadership.
• Manage broad litigation and pre-litigation matters and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and filings.
• Supervise outside counsel, budgets, and staffing; oversee e-discovery processes.
• Lead internal investigations; interact with law enforcement, regulators, and government investigators.
• Develop and deliver compliance training; update policies and procedures to regulatory standards.
