Job summary

CRC Group is seeking an experienced Claims Professional to lead and adjudicate complex property and casualty claims in North Carolina. You will analyze coverage, assess liability, and collaborate with brokers, legal counsel, and underwriters to determine fair outcomes.

The role requires strong negotiation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance knowledge, with guidance to junior staff and familiarity with claims management systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, risk management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience handling claims, preferably in specialty or complex lines.
  • Experience with brokers, legal professionals, and regulatory agencies.
  • Licenses in applicable U.S. states; insurance certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for claim decisions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS
  • Must hold and maintain all required licenses in all U.S. states where licensing is required to perform the duties of this position.
  • Insurance-specific certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are preferred.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Advanced claims analysis and adjudication techniques.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in policy interpretation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
