Qualifications

• 3–5 years of business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Prior experience supporting litigation practices within a top-tier U.S. law firm is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, and research skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Understanding of the litigation lifecycle, terminology, courts, and regulators.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests while consistently producing high-quality work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, CRM and related platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a polished, professional approach when working with senior attorneys and staff.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to incorporate feedback effectively.
• Commitment to high standards of excellence, professionalism, and client service.

Responsibilities

• Develop pitches, RFP responses, presentations, and other business development materials that highlight the Firm’s litigation capabilities and experience.
• Support partners with client development initiatives, relationship-building efforts, and visibility opportunities.
• Research prospective clients, companies, industries, litigation trends, and potential business opportunities.
• Prepare submissions for Chambers USA and other legal directories, coordinating deadlines, partner feedback, and references.
• Monitor news and developments relevant to the Firm’s Litigation practices.
• Maintain and update attorney biographies, practice materials, matter descriptions, and other marketing content.
• Maintain accurate records of client outreach, pitches, meetings, trainings, and other business development activities in CRM and experience management systems.
• Coordinate conference sponsorship requests and collaborate on client and Firm events.
• Partner with Communications, Events, Competitive Intelligence, and Creative Services teams on business development and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure all Firm and client information is handled in accordance with information security and confidentiality requirements.
